A Quiet Day

I.

I've never really been drawn to futuristic cities, towering skyscrapers, or all that city stuff. If I ever make it to the Chinese countryside, I'd probably spend the whole day wandering around, just taking it all in instead of rushing to take photos. After all, what's the point of being somewhere so beautiful if you don't slow down enough to enjoy it? I think I'd rather remember how it felt.

II.

I've got Spring Morning in the Han Palace playing in the background. It's just so calming. You'd never guess I was reading The Thirty-Six Stratagems earlier.

III.

I'm planning to be in bed before 7:00 tonight and up by 3:00 a.m. After that, I'll be studying from 4:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. using a 50/10 Pomodoro. The 10-minute breaks are my cue to stretch, do a few squats, lift some dumbbells, walk around, or sneak in an ab workout.

Speaking of study buddies, my favorite is James Scholz and his cat, Mika. What about you? Do you like studying with a friend? Or do you like using Pomodoro? Or maybe you have a favorite place to study, like a coffee shop, a coworking space, or the library?
